Studio Scott
Every piece is made to commission, from solid timber. Curves are bent from many thin layers drawn round a former; heavier forms are carved out of thicker boards glued flat, one on another, until the shape comes out of the block. Either way it is worked back by hand until the whole thing reads as one continuous gesture.
It is slow. What you get at the end of it is a piece that exists once.
